Cancelling, refunds and deleting your Candy AI account

Three different things that people ask for interchangeably and that the platform treats as completely separate actions. Cancelling stops the next charge. A refund is a separate request with a hard deadline. Deleting the account is a third action again. Doing them in the wrong order is how people end up out of pocket.

Unofficial fan guide. We are not Candy.ai support and cannot process cancellations or refunds.

The short answer

To cancel: log in, open My Profile, go to Settings, and use the Unsubscribe button at the bottom. Your access continues until the end of the period you already paid for, and nothing is refunded — a refund is a separate request to support that must be made within 24 hours of payment. To delete the account entirely, go to the same Settings screen and use the Delete Account button in the danger zone; deleting before your renewal date also cancels the subscription.

Step 1

Cancelling the subscription

Cancellation is self-service and takes under a minute. There is no retention phone call and no email required. Because there is no native mobile app, there is also no App Store or Play Store subscription to cancel separately — everything happens in your account.

  1. Log in to your account on candy.ai, in the browser you normally use.
  2. Open My Profile from the account menu.
  3. Go to Settings.
  4. Use the Unsubscribe button at the bottom of the page and confirm.

You keep access until the period ends

Cancelling stops the renewal, not the current term. The terms state access continues to the end of the billing period you have already paid for, so there is no reason to leave it until the last day.

There is no pause

The help centre answers this directly: subscriptions cannot be paused, only cancelled. If you want a break, cancel and resubscribe later.

Switching plans is not cancelling

You can change plan at any time, and the change takes effect at the start of the next billing cycle. That is the right move if you only want to come off the annual term rather than leave.

Prices can rise on renewal

The terms reserve the right to increase subscription prices at the platform's discretion, with advance notice before renewing at the higher price. Worth knowing if you plan to leave a plan running for years.

Step 2

Refunds: the deadline and the condition

Cancelling does not refund you. Candy.ai's help centre has an article written specifically for people who cancelled and are wondering where their money is, which tells you how common the confusion is. A refund is a separate request to support, and it has to clear two hurdles.

Purchase typeTime limitUsage conditionPayment method
Subscription24 hoursMax 20 tokens usedCard only
Token package24 hoursNone usedCard only
EU / UK first purchase14 daysStatutory rightAny

The 24-hour clock runs from payment, and the terms are explicit that no refund will be issued for a request made after it. The token condition is the part people miss: on a subscription, spending more than 20 of your included tokens forfeits the refund, and on a token package, using any of them does. Since generating a handful of images can move you past that line on your first evening, the practical advice is to decide before you start generating, not after.

In the EU or the UK, use the stronger right. The terms grant a 14-day right of withdrawal on an initial purchase, running 14 days from the date of your purchase confirmation email. It is a statutory consumer right and it does not depend on the 24-hour clause. If you are past 24 hours but within 14 days of a first purchase, that is the provision to cite in your request.

Requests go to Candy.ai support, whose address in the terms of service is at candymail.ai. Two exclusions apply regardless of timing: there is no refund for content removed for a policy violation, and none for characters or features the platform withdraws or changes at its own discretion. Refunds are also stated to cover purchases made by card — if you paid with cryptocurrency, a wallet or a bank transfer, that clause does not cover you.

Step 3

Deleting the account for good

Deleting is a different action from cancelling and lives on the same Settings screen, in a section the platform labels the danger zone.

  1. Log in and open My Profile, then Settings — the same path as cancelling.
  2. Scroll to the danger zone at the bottom of the settings.
  3. Use Delete Account and confirm.
  4. Check your card statement next month anyway. Deleting before a renewal date does cancel an active subscription — but a stray charge is far easier to dispute in the same month than six months later.

Deletion is not total erasure, and the privacy policy is honest about that. Financial records are kept for ten years from issuance as a legal compliance requirement, which survives account deletion. Account-related personal data is otherwise kept for three years after your last activity if you never ask for deletion. The policy commits to acting without undue delay but publishes no number of days, so we cannot tell you how long the process takes.

An unfamiliar EverAI line on your statement is this. Charges from Candy.ai appear under the operating company's name, EverAI, rather than anything containing the word Candy. If you are trying to work out what a charge was before disputing it with your bank, that is the connection.
